Applications

One of the major applications for SMUX-FE is wireless backhaul. SMUX-FE can feed both 2G and 3G wireless BTS. The dual uplink design allows to offer redundancy against link down.

Another application for SMUX-FE is for simple multiplexing of E1/T1 and Fast Ethernet signals for point-to-point application.

Note: User can configure any of Ethernet port to be either client or line link. Thus, without using SFP, SMUX-FE can be a simple E1/T1 multipler over copper 10/100BaseT.
